The counter at YaYa Café

OUR STORY

Made the way yaya makes it.

"YaYa" means grandmother — and that's exactly the feeling. A cozy West Campus counter where the broth simmers all day, the herbs are fresh, and every bowl comes with a little extra care. Family recipes, no fuss, a table by the window, and yes — Hook 'em. 🤘

The name YaYa isn't just a nod to a person — it's a way of cooking. Slowly, without shortcuts, and with real attention to the people you're feeding. Every bowl that leaves the counter carries that same intention: made the way a grandmother would make it, for the people she loves most.

HOW WE COOK

Three things we never rush.

Slow-simmered broth, every day.

The phở broth starts before the doors open and simmers all day — never from a packet, never rushed. That depth of flavor is the foundation everything else is built on.

Herbs and vegetables, cut fresh each morning.

Thai basil, bean sprouts, lime, cilantro — prepped daily so the garnish plate that arrives at your table tastes as alive as it looks.

Recipes from the family table.

These dishes are the ones the family grew up eating — not adapted for a mainstream audience, just made the right way and served with care.
